What is a Spring Cleanout?
A cleanout is a “deep clean” for your pond. Over the winter, organic debris breaks down into sludge that can harm water quality. Our process resets your ecosystem for the year.
Here is exactly what our crew does during a cleanout:
- Drain & Protect: We drain the feature and safely house your fish in temporary tanks.
- Deep Clean: We remove pond sludge and debris from the bottom and power wash the interior.
- Plant Care: We divide and thin out aquatic plants to prevent overgrowth.
- Filtration Tune-Up: We clean the skimmer, pump, filter mats, and bioballs.
- System Check: We inspect the perimeter for leaks, check low spots, and test all components (including IonGen probes).
- The Restart: Finally, we refill the pond, condition the water with necessary treatments, and re-introduce your fish to their fresh home.
2026 Pricing & Service Details
Transparency is key. Our Spring Cleanout billing is simple:
- Booking Deposit: $249.00 (Required to secure your spot on our calendar).
- Labor Rate: $159.00 / hr (Billed later based on the actual time spent on-site).
Important Reminders for Service Day:
Please ensure that your water source is accessible, the pump is available, and the electric is turned on.
Note: All muck and plant material removed will be left on-site. If you need us to haul it away, an additional removal fee applies.
