Aquascape Fountain Pumps Troubleshooting

If you have a garden, chances are you also have a fountain. Fountains add a touch of elegance to any garden, and they can be quite therapeutic to listen to. But what do you do when your fountain starts to look a little lackluster? The first thing you should check is the aquascape fountain pump.

The aquascape fountain pump is responsible for circulating the water in your fountain, and it is one of the most important parts of the entire system. If your fountain pump is not working properly, then your fountain will not look its best. There are a few things that you can do to troubleshoot your fountain pump and get it working again.

One of the first things that you should check is the power supply to your fountain pump. Make sure that the pump is plugged into a working outlet and that the cord is not frayed or damaged in any way. If the power supply seems to be fine, then the next thing you should check is the impeller.

The impeller is what actually pumps the water through the system, and it can become clogged with debris over time. If you notice that your fountain’s water flow has decreased, then it is likely that the impeller is clogged. To clean the impeller, simply remove it from the housing and rinse it off with some clean water.

If the power supply and impeller seem to be working properly, then the next thing you should check is the intake screen. The intake screen is responsible for filtering the water as it enters the pump, and it can become clogged with debris over time. To clean the intake screen, simply remove it from the housing and rinse it off with some clean water.

Once you have checked all of these things, if your fountain still isn’t working properly, then you may need to replace the entire pump. Luckily, this is a relatively easy process, and you should be able to find a replacement pump at any local hardware store. With a little bit of effort, you should be able to get your fountain running like new again in no time! Worst case – give us a call or email!
